Q: Where do the art classes take place?
A: In the visual arts studio at the Nepean Creative Arts Centre, at 35 Stafford Rd, Nepean, ON.
Q: Are all materials provided?
A: Yes, everything students will need to complete their art projects will be provided.
Q: What should students bring to class?
A: Please wear clothes that may be stained during the creative process, and also a water bottle.
Q: Can my child bring a snack?
A: Bringing food or eating during art class is not recommended, however exceptions may be made due to health or other personal reasons. If such is the case, please communicate your concerns to the teacher.
Q: What happens if my child is unable to attend a class due to illness or other reasons?
A: Unfortunately, due to the short nature of the course, the class cannot be made up or rescheduled, but if possible, and depending on the project, instructions may be given on how to complete the artwork at home with the resources available.
Q: Do I need to let the teacher know if my child will be absent?
A: Yes, please let us know as soon as you can if your child will be away.
Q: What happens if the teacher needs to cancel class?
A: A new class will be added to make up for the lost class, and in that event the information will be communicated.
Q: Is there an additional fee for the Expo?
A: No, the “Juice and Cheese Gallery Expo” is included in the course fee.
Q: Does everyone have to participate in the Expo?
A: No, the “Juice and Cheese Gallery Expo” is optional, but it is a great opportunity for students to see their work displayed and to practice speaking about their work to their family and friends.
Q: What happens if I need to cancel my registration?
A: On a case by case basis, a full refund may be issued as a course credit, or you may receive a refund of your payment minus a processing fee, as long as your registration is cancelled prior to the beginning of the course. Please contact us right away if such a situation arises, and we will work together to find the best solution. Unfortunately, we are not able to refund course registrations once the course has started.
Q: I would like to request a specific type of art course or workshop, which is not currently offered. Is there someone I can speak to about that?
A: Yes! Please complete the survey on our Courses page to let us know your preferences for new courses. Alternatively, you may also submit an inquiry using our Contact page detailing what you are looking for, and we will get back to you.
Q: Do you offer gift certificates?
A: We do! You may purchase a Soft Altitude Arts gift certificate in any denomination of your choice, which can be used towards any of our classes or workshops. The gift certificates are redeemable online at www.softaltitude.com. Once the purchase is complete, we will send you a printable, digital file which can be gifted to your special recipient.
Q: Do your gift certificates expire?
A: Our gift certificates do not expire.
