About our school

Soft Altitude Arts is an Ottawa-based art school that elevates and inspires young artists as they learn about, experiment with, and create all kinds of artworks using a variety of mediums.

Founded by Oana Stefanescu, a certified teacher, artist, author, and mom of two, the school aims to help young artists build on their passion for, and interest in  the world of visual arts.

Using proven teaching methods and a positive, hands-on approach, we offer a selection of courses and workshops designed to reach artists of diverse knowledge and skill levels.

About the instructor

Oana Stefanescu is a local teacher and artist who has over 10 years experience teaching for the OCDSB. She has taught many different subjects to students of all ages, from kindergarten to grade 8. She has degrees in English Literature, Art History and Theory, and in Education, from the University of Ottawa.

Oana loves teaching, creating art, writing and all things creative and inspirational.

Oana is a published author of vibrations of reality: poetry that bridges (2024), and the stars within us: high frequency spiritual poetry (2022). She is multilingual and can teach in English, French, and Romanian. Oana is also a proud mom of two budding artists.
